Back to School Beauty Essentials!

Now, I know a lot of you are now back in school and college. So I decided I would to a post on some beauty essentials for your school/college make-up bag. Of course everyone's style is different so they might not be to everyone's taste but I am just basing this from what I used to carry when I was in school. Oh, and don't worry, all off the products mentioned are affordable and and can be found in your local drugstore so that's also a bonus! Anyway enough rambling, lets get on with it..

For me the most stable pieces in my makeup bag were definitely concealer and a setting powder. I found that a lost of days I wouldn't wear foundation to school because it was just too bulky to carry round, and let's be honest most of us would rather have those extra five minutes in bed rather than applying foundation.. So instead I would simply cover up and blemishes or dark circles with my everyday concealer. My concealer of choice is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which retails in at around £4.50. To set the concealer I would also use a setting powder to prevent my face from becoming oily throughout the day. Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder is perfecting in doing so, and of course you need a brush to apply your powder with and believe it or not I found this very good quality powder brush in Primark!

The next thing I would choose to carry would be a lip balm because we all know how dry and irritating dry lips can be in those winter months. The Maybelline Baby Lips range is a perfect choice in my opinion as the variety of flavours and colours help to make a lip balm that little bit more exciting. I have chosen Pink Punch as it smells delicious and I find you can wear it in a variety of ways as you can simply apply it the once over to give a sheer pink frost on your lips, or you can build up the colour to give your lips a more solid colour without lipstick.

Another essential for me at school was a mascara. I particularly liked Accessorize's makeup range from Superdrug. The one I have chosen is particularly good for curling your lashes which gives you that more natural everyday look. I have also included an Apocalips Lip Lacquer from Rimmel for those days where you would like a bit more colour to your lips. The shade I have chosen is Nude Eclipse as it is obviously a nude, so therefore gives you a natural look and yet still provides a wash of colour without using anything to bold.

For those of you who want to not apply a tone of makeup but still want a nice subtle finish, the Collection eyeshadow stick is perfect for on the go as no brushes are required! The eyeshadow blends very nicely due to its creamy formula. This provides a subtle shimmer on the lids. It can also be used as a highlight for your cheekbones or in the tearduct.

The final two items are not makeup items but I thought I would include them anyways. The first being Soap & Glory's Hand Food again for hydrating your hands in those cold winter months. And finally, everyone likes to smell good so a small bottle of perfume is a necessity. For me, I have chosen Kate Moss' Lilabelle as it is extremely lightweight and is nothing too strong but leaves you smelling florally and fresh.

I hope some of you found this post helpful in some way. If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see from me in the future please comment them below. Speak to you soon!
