Colourpop Peachy Keen

It's no secret how obsessed I've been with the brand Colourpop recently. So it'll come at no surprise that today's post features another great value set from them! Don't get me wrong, I adore their super metaliic bold and bright colours, but in terms of wearability, this is hands down my favourite quad I own from Colourpop. The 'Peachy Keen' Set contains one metallic shade and three matte shades

Starting with the odd one out of the bunch, is 'Crimper', the only metallic shade. Unlike the other metallic shades I've tried, Crimper is a lot more subtle. It's a very soft gold with fine glitters so needs to be built up more if you're looking for that intense bold shimmer. Next is the peachy shade from the set, 'Kennedy'. There's not much to say about this shade, what you see is what you get. It's a true matte light peach shade. It's an overall stunning shade!
Now onto the brown tones! The darker of the two is 'Bandit' which is described as warm rusty brown. Looking at this in the pan I thought it looked very similar to Colourpop's eyeshadow in 'Mittens' but once swatched there are clear differences. Mittens has more of a red undertone making it appear a plum brown, whereas Bandit has orange undertones, creating that rusty brown shade. Finally there is 'Cornelious' which is actually one of the shades created by KathleenLights. This is again a matte brown, but of a light beige caramel sort of shade. This shade makes for a great transition colour.

The reason I love this quad so much is because of how easily these colours go together. you don't even need to think of how to pair them. Kennedy or Crimper make great all over lid colours, whilst Cornelious can be applied as a transition colour and you can finish the look of with Bandit in your outer crease to intensify and deepen the look!

Colourpop's Peachy Keen Set is available for $18.
