Urban Decay Naked Weightless Foundation

Recently I posted my thoughts on the Kat Von D 'Lock It Foundation', in case you missed that post you can read it - here. It turned out to be one of my most popular posts, so I thought I'd turn this into a mini-series and go through my foundation collection and share my thoughts on them. Today I'm starting with my most used foundation - the Urban Decay 'Naked Weightless' Liquid Foundation.

As with any product from Urban Decay, I love the packaging of this foundation. It's simple and light weight, but still looks high end. The gun metal accents add a little something extra to a rather plain design. This foundation comes in your standard bottle with a pump and lid.

The reason I actually picked up this foundation was because of the shade range. I popped into Debenhams to swatch this foundation and I was gobsmacked and how it matched my skin perfectly! There are currently 21 shades available and mine is in the shade 0.5 which is the lightest shade. The formula is one of the best I've come across. This foundation gets the balance between coverage, weightlessness and luminosity just right. You're able to achieve a flawless demi-matte finish with a lightweight formula, hence the term 'Naked'.. it feels like nothing is on your skin! The formula therefore, is thin and on the watery side. Yet gives a good medium coverage and I would say can definitely be builded to give a full coverage flawless look.

My only niggle I have with this foundation is I would like it to last a little bit longer on the skin, but since it doesn't claim to I can't fault it for that. It is still incredible for day to day wear. As I said, this is my go to everyday foundation and this is currently my third bottle of the stuff! I don't thick I've ever repurchased a high end foundation three times?!

Urban Decay 'Naked Weightless' Foundation is available for £27 HERE

  2. I've been looking into buying a new foundation as I have dry skin and want a medium coverage that won't dry my skin out! So this post is just what I've been after! I've been debating between this or the Kat Von D so will be reading that post now and making my decision!

  6. Love this post! Ive heard so many good reviews about their foundations, and I'm always on the lookout for more! This looks like a lovely consistency , it's a shame it doesn't last that long, do you use the urban decay setting spray as well? That's my favourite setting spray xx

  10. I've been wanting to try this foundation for a while but I always forget to go in and swatch it, I have really really pale skin so I always struggle to find a foundation to match my skin tone. I love foundations that are buildable because some days I want a medium coverage and other days I would like a full coverage!

  13. Seen so many people review this foundation but i'm still torn with whether to buy it or not.. I think I'll have to go get a shade match done before I decide haha x

  14. I've found in the past I've probably spent as much on drugstore foundation brands trying them out as I would on one high end foundation, If you find something you like why not re-purchase it :) I like the Urban Decay product packaging too.
