A Long Weekend Stay at NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires

I'm back from my latest trip! After visiting Rome last year, I was eager to explore some more of beautiful Italy, so decided to book a long weekend in Milan. As always, when booking a trip (especially city breaks) I try to search for luxe hotels to stay in, whilst still being somewhat centrally located. And honestly, I think we found a great hotel for out stay in Milan! Not only was it in a great area for public transport, it was also a pretty luxurious hotel with some beautiful rooms. So here's a rundown of my 3 night stay at the NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires hotel.

Location / The Hotel

The NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires hotel is a 4 star urban boutique hotel which hosts 100 immaculate guest rooms. The hotel is located in a busy shopping avenue, which is only a short walk to the nearest metro stations, and a 10 minute walk from Milan Centrale Train Station. This was very handy for getting to and from the hotel to the airport, and to explore other destinations for the day such as Lake Como! This couldn't have been a bigger help for us. Similarly to Rome, if you value your time (and feet) I would suggest using the metros to get around the city, They're super affordable and easy to navigate! The streets surrounding the hotel are lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, so everything you could possible need is on your doorstep.

And the hotel itself was such a great find! The decor is sleek and modern, whilst still feeling cosy and homely. In the hotel you'll find a gym, a bar to enjoy some evening drinks, and a beautiful rooftop restaurant to dine at whilst admiring the city view.

Our Room

The NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires offers various room types for all types of travellers, from smaller more compact rooms, to Junior Suites complete with your own balcony. I stayed in a Premium Room which was very spacious. With a city break kind of trip, I never look for too much from my hotel as it's more so just used as a base for exploring, with not a lot of time being spent there. However, the NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires made for a not only a fantastic base for both travellers and business guests, but was also a really beautiful modern and cosy hotel right in the heart of the city.

As mentioned, we stayed in a Premium Double Room which was probably one of the biggest rooms we've stayed in on a city break. You usually find hotels that are more centrally located are more on the smaller size, which means the rooms are more compact. However our room was very generous with the amount of space we had. We also had a lovely view of the city from our window.

The room is equipped with a minibar, espresso machine and kettle, and a safe which is a must have. The other two guests we were travelling with stayed in the standard rooms, so of course I popped in to compare. The standard size rooms were still on the spacious side, and were very modern still. The only slight negative I would mention, is the lack of kettle. I don't expect to see espresso machines in standard rooms, however I've never stayed in a standard room that didn't have a kettle in the room. This meant you couldn't enjoy a cup of tea in your room for the entirety of your stay. I think for a 4 star hotel, all rooms should have a basic kettle and tea facilities for guests.

Back to the premium room - I also found the wardrobe space was very generous and more than enough room for both of our clothes. If you're someone who likes to work on the go like me, there's also a handy little desk space for you too. The bathroom was pretty spacious with some atmospheric mood lighting, which made evening rainfall showers very relaxing. I was really impressed with the hotels own brand toiletries on offer too - they really had everything you needed.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and it made a perfect base for exploring the city. I also have to mention how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff here were. They truly went out of their way to help us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Upon arrival we were greeted with refreshments, and was also pleasantly surprised to find a fruit platter decorated for us in our room!
