Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation - Is It Worth It?

Wow it feels like a long time since I sat down at wrote about makeup! I'm going to be honest there hasn't really been any new makeup releases that have excited me that much lately, that was until I saw the Peaches & Cream collection by Too Faced. Every single product in this collection was calling my name, it took ridiculous amounts of willpower to not cave and splurge on the entire collection!

One fan favourite from the Peaches & Cream collection has been their Peach Perfect Foundation. As someone who normally opts for a more dewy foundation look, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this foundation. In fact, I even remember standing in the middle of Sephora in Lisbon, contemplating whether or not to buy it for a good 20 minutes or so! Fast forward to the present day, and I have FINALLY tried out this foundation!

Peach Perfect Foundation

So, what's this foundation all about? Wellll, the Peach Perfect Foundation is cruelty free, vegan,  comfortable matte formula foundation, that is transfer resistant, medium coverage and smells like peaches! The formula is said to be oil-controlling, and will stay looking flawless for up to 14 hours. With the latest addition of 10 new shades, the range now has a total of 30 shades.

I actually have two shades in this foundation; 'Shortbread' and 'Latte' which is the darker of the two. For me, the shade Shortbread is a much better match for day to day wear. I tend to reach for 'Latte' when I'm a bit more tanned than normal. I do think the addition of 10 new shades was a step in the right direction as they now have quite a broad spectrum of shades that will hopefully cater to everyone's skin tones.

Priced at £27, I don't think it's anything too expensive, and is pretty standard for a higher end makeup brand. One thing I really love about this foundation, is the packaging. Not only is it obviously very cutesy, but I actually really like that it isn't in a glass bottle. The use of this tube/pump combo feels like we can really squeeze every last drop of product out, meaning less waste!

Is It Worth it?

As previously mentioned, the one thing that I wasn't too sure on was the 'matte formula'. The majority of matte foundations I have tried in the past, I have disliked due to their thicker, and more 'cakey' formula that just do not feel nice and comfortable on the skin. That being said, that was not the case with the Peach Perfect Foundation! The formula is actually pretty lightweight in comparison to other matte foundations, which means it doesn't feel like you're wearing a thick mask of makeup throughout the day. I was also super impressed with the coverage this foundation gives! On their website it is described as a medium coverage, but I would actually says it's probably more of a full coverage finish.

It also claims to be 'oil-controlling' which is very intriguing. As someone who doesn't have oily skin, I don't feel I can comment too much on this. However, I do get slightly oily in my t-zone and chin area, so was eager to see how the foundation performed in these areas. I do feel as though, the foundation looked better for longer than usual in these areas, and didn't break up or go patchy as some foundations do in these areas.

So, what are my overall thoughts on this foundations? I'm actually really love it. The formula was much better than I anticipated, it looked beautiful on the skin, and lasted all throughout the day without breaking up. Not to mention, the incredible scent it has! At first I thought it was a little overpowering, but once it's on the skin it's really subtle and practically unnoticeable. The only small issue I had with this foundation, is that does take a tiny bit longer to fully dry down. So if you're going to follow with any powders, I'd just be wary of that and wait a few more seconds to make sure they blend seamlessly. Or, try and avoid using any powders that are too thick and use something more lightweight.

Have you tried out this foundation? What were your thoughts?
